In love with the moon:

Happy National Moon Day!
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a love affair with space. More specifically, the moon.
But really, how can you not?
This giant beautiful glowing orb that appears nightly, constantly changing, just hanging in the sky. If you need a daily dose of celestial beauty I completely suggest NASA’s picture of the day through IFTTT. It shares daily on my Facebook. Just appears, like magic.
It’s the perfect daily reminder that we are just a speck in a world of apparent magic, explained by science. I love the little notifications I get throughout the day of people agreeing that science is fucking cool.
I will still continue to take #shittypicturesofthemoon
It's all in the name of science.

X,
Sara

Remembering Incorrectly

I  had no idea until researching quotes for my blog posts that commonly understood quotes are credited to incorrect people, and many times incorrectly. Sometimes, not at all correctly. This particular quote is a person no one seems to knows but yet it is credited to him again and again-  but that’s all anybody really knows.Did that deter me from using it? Hell no.  It’s still a great quote

Thanks Dresden James, whoever the hell you are.

Like all great hoaxes, there are layers. The lie mixes with the truth. The layers are so many that perhaps there’s a bit of truth but which truth?

Never silent

An ironic but a purposeful choice of quote. Yesterday I choose to be silent on social media as my part on International Women’s Day, a sort of, “Be careful what you wish for”. Every woman should be a feminist and want to celebrate women but it’s the not women voices that make a real difference. Stay with me.

It’s the people who are not women that make it all more possible for equality. If protests have taught me anything, it’s when the people who are not being oppressed see the ludicrousness that real change starts to happen. It’s not about being for one sex over another, it’s simply recognizing we are both people and its fucking stupid not to stand up for the rights of another human being.

Every wish I had for the day was exceeded when my brother wished my mother and a Happy International Women’s Day.

Happy belated International Women’s Day, bitches

Make others see

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see

One of my favorite things is that despite the artist’s intention, every viewer takes their own interpretation to put their own experiences and thoughts on something to come up with their feeling that could very easily have nothing to do with the artist’s intention.
